Bangladesh Small & Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC)

 



BSCIC is the prime government organization for the promotion and extension of Small and Cottage Industries (SCI) in the private sector of Bangladesh. Present BSCIC is the successor of EPSIS which was established by a Government act in the year 1957. Its H.Q. is in Dhaka.

Its Objectives are :

 
  • To increase Production (To increase the production capacity of established small and cottage industries and increase new production unit).
  • To create employment opportunity ( To create employment opportunity, without affecting production)
  • Poverty Elevation
  • Balanced Regional Development
  • Socio-economic development of the country.
BSCIC Provides
BSCIC Supplies BSCIC Assists in BSCIC Organises Investment Facilities Presently Industrial plots with gas, electricity, water (subject to availability) etc. are available in 65 Estates.

 
Estates are Rajbari, Madaripur, Jamalpur, Mymenshing (extension), Manikgonj, Faridpur, Munshigonj, Sylhet (extention), Cox-bazar, Feni, B.baria, Nijkunjara, Chadpur, Hobigonj, Natore, Thakurgaon, Lalmonirhat, Joypurhat, Nababgonj, Serajgonj, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Barisal, Sarupkathi, Patua Khali, Bagherhat, Satkhira, Bhola, Jhenidah, Zamdani (N.gonj)...
Location The location of the estates range 35 to 400 km from the capital city, Dhaka.
Price Being subsidised by Govt. the price of land ranges from US$ 6122 to US $ 48980 (1 US$ = Tk. 63) per acre.


Allotment: Plot allotment is done by District Land Allotment Committee.
